I use Nirsoft's 'Nircmd' to put my monitors to sleep. It can also do a lot more, like positioning. It's possible you could set it to position the cursor, which should wake up the monitors.

Hi all
Is it possible, to get Blue Irsh 4 to get the monitor out off powersaving mode at motion detection ?
Maybe fire a short script that gets windows to send the power on signal to the monitor ?
