Hello,
I decided to move the folder where the database and clips are stored from one disk to another on the same computer.
I did some Googling but I did not find a definitive procedure so I decided to try it on my own.

At the start, the Blue Iris db and clips folders were in "F:Blueiris". I want to move this to "D:Blueiris" and delete the old folder and all its contents.
Here is what I did:

1. I first used the Windows Services tool to stop the Blue Iris Server.
2. I then copied the entire "Blue Iris" folder from F: to D:. I then renamed the old folder to "Blue Iris.old"
3. Then I ran Blue Iris Admin and opened the Blue Iris Options dialog, clicked the "Clips and archiving" and under Database I set "Path" to D:\BlueIris\db
Under "Folders" I set "New", "Stored" and "Alerts" to "D:New, etc.
4. The I restarted "Blue Iris Service".

The problem is that it immediated re-created the "F:Blueiris" folder and the "log" directory under that and the 2002010.txt log file in that folder.
My question is: why did it do this? Did I miss some folder configuration dialog? If so, where is it.
Thanks for any help.

I am running Blue Iris 4.8.6.3 x64 under Windows 10.
Statistics: Posted by GummyHorse — Fri Oct 16, 2020 4:38 pm
