Greetings, I know this is little dated message post, but I wanted to share how I got my ASH47's to work in Blue-Iris. First let me give you a little background on my setup.
I run Blue-Iris on a seperate subnet with no access to the internet. I run a POE Netgear GS308EPP for my cameras and Blue Iris running on a dedicated computer running Windows Server 2022, with a combination of Reolink (which I'm slowly life cycling out) and Amcrest. The ASH47 was initially a daunting task, but now that I figured out the POE Ethernet work around, it's not so bad now. What I had to do was:

1. Set the camera up on Home wifi using the app, and selecting the Ethernet setting on setup. I use POE splitter adapters for the ASH47's. Initially using the power supply included and ethernet connection on my Home Network.
2. Once the camera is working on the app, turn on the various motion and human detection settings using the app.
3. Once I have all the settings that I want, I use Amcrest Pro to manage the Network settings and move it over to the isolated subnet.
4. Add camera to Blue-Iris.

Notes. Do not use Amcrest Pro to modify any of the motion settings, as they are not all viewable in Amcrest Pro. I tried this and basically killed all motion settings in the camera and had to use Pro to move it back to the Home subnet and reapply the motions settings and move it back. I also had to use an additional router to connect between the 2 different subnets in order to be able to connect to the camera that was physically connected to the isolated subnet, even after changing the IP back to the Home subnet.
When I get finished, I just shut the additonal router off in order to keep network security on the isolated subnet.

Turn PTZ settings in Camera viewer in BI so you can set the Home position for the Camera. You can control the camera PTZ through BI, but just remeber that wherever you point it at in PTZ will become the new Home location. So youll have to manually PTZ it back to the correct Home location.

I'm attaching a screen shot of my BI Camera settings for the ASH47.

Statistics: Posted by Phyrmn — Sun Jan 07, 2024 2:22 pm

There is no listing in BI for SV3C, so how does one go about actually getting the ASH47-W and/or the S3VC into BI's table of supported cameras?

Cameras absent from the list generally fall into 'no man's land' and are added to Blue Iris by more generic means and/or the discovery process using the IP address and password of the camera as determined by it's own configuration platform.

If they are ONVIF compliant, Blue Iris will discover that and suggest nominal streaming addresses. If it doesn't find ONVIF compliant info, additional research is required to determine the RTSP streaming address for the camera which can then be manually introduced to the camera's Blue Iris configurations. Generic/ONVIF is a basic 'catch all' for such situations and can oftentimes do the trick if no other options are immediately available.
Statistics: Posted by Pogo — Sat Oct 07, 2023 4:17 pm

New user here.

I saw interest in the SV3C cameras in this post, and decided to create a new topic that covers, in great detail, how to set up the SV3C Model C11 and C15 cameras, as well as a review on each camera.

I have typed up My Topic entry, and saved my draft. But now what???

My question is, now that I have saved the draft copy, how do I post it, or get it added to the list of Topics? I don't find anything in the Help sections that addresses this. I did see somewhere that it would need to be "approved". How do I get it approved and added to the list of Topics?

Thanks for any direction!
BertBert
Statistics: Posted by BertBert — Fri Oct 06, 2023 11:58 pm

This is my first post on BI - Newbie here.
I noticed that a couple of the ASH47-W PZT posts mentioned that the poster was looking into the SV3C cameras. I have recently bought two versions of the SVC3's and have spent countless hours trying to make them work with BI. One camera I was able to make both the video and Pan and Tilt work (though unfortunately not Zoom.) The most recent camera I can make the video work, but no success with the PZT whatsoever. There is no listing in BI for SV3C, so how does one go about actually getting the ASH47-W and/or the S3VC into BI's table of supported cameras?

As a new BI forum member, my understanding is that if I wish to post my success and failures on SV3C to help other users, I'll need to start a whole new Topic on SV3C, yes?

Thank you for your patience with a new user.
Statistics: Posted by BertBert — Fri Sep 22, 2023 10:28 pm

My understanding is that after the ASH47's required configuration through the Smart Home platform initially, it can then be added to a NVR for more traditional access, though not with all features being available. There are several threads over on the Amcrest forum about the lack of ASH47 flexibility outside the Smart Home environment.

And ditto on Tim's post above. Duh. Sorry for not paying closer attention.

I am, however, interested in your report on the SV3C.
Statistics: Posted by Pogo — Thu Jul 20, 2023 11:53 pm

Check through the Amcrest camera menu's and ensure that Onvif and/or RTSP are enabled there. Hmm, does it HAVE a web interface ? I'm reading that Amcrest may have reduced the options with this camera.

There is a possible solution here on the Amcrest web site.

Does that help ? If not, where is it failing ? Ah, I just found your posts about this issue on the Amcrest forum

Oh, and the ASH47-W has previous fails here at the Blue iris forum where it shows images but no ptz which makes it fairly useless.

I think this camera may be a bad idea. My conclusion is that it is a cheap no frills ptz that only works properly with their app.
Statistics: Posted by TimG — Mon Jul 17, 2023 6:00 pm

Okay , understand. Tried VLC and I don’t get a connection, it pulls an error and tells me to look at the log. I attempted to open a video stream. I enabled logging and set as log file and tried again, but no luck. Log file didn’t even get generated.
Statistics: Posted by araczek — Sun Jul 16, 2023 6:30 pm

It's still not clear if it has a feed that BI5 can use, or if it only works with its own app. That is why I asked if you can see it in VLC. As for the other questions:

1. If you don't plug in ethernet then it should default to wifi.
2. If the IP address appears in your router when the camera is powered up, and disappears with camera power off, it must be the wifi IP.
3. If you can't set a static IP on the camera, you should be able to use address reservation on the router.
Statistics: Posted by TimG — Sun Jul 16, 2023 12:25 pm
