Subcribe to MQTT for a macro

Is there a way that you can subscribe to an MQTT topic to be listed as a macro?

Essentially, I want to leverage something like mosquitto_sub for a topic and place that in a macro to be able to use it as an overlay.

I use Home Assistant, and figured out a way to push data from Home Assistant to BlueIris, but in an ideal world, would like BlueIris to be able to pull form an MQTT broker for a macro.
