I am currently using Govision's VMS NVR and am looking to see if BI will work better for what we do.

Our cameras do not have built in webservers; so we use the NVR to access the streams of the cameras to show on our website. This works using URL like this: https://<external_IP>/mjpeg?cam=6
1. Can I stream each camera similarly with BI?

Second, with the Geovision VMS, the only way to allow this feature to work is to enable Guest access with no authentication. This is obviously a security concern, and we lock down the website directory where these streams are housed with a username and password; there is still security flaws with this. My next question is, assuming that the answer to question number 1 above is yes:
2. Can we use BI to require authentication for users for these streams?

Jay
Statistics: Posted by jenebo — Tue Mar 05, 2024 10:50 pm
