I noted that there are issues after updates to CPAI, and I found it necessary to reboot each time to sort it out.

On a different subject, I had seen intermittant MQTT, and also some Pushover actions were missing. I looked at my actions list and noted I had ten on my drive camera with seven of them disabled. I deleted all of the disabled ones and the others started working normally. Since I reasoned that could mean there could be a limit on the number of actions - i.e the number of things that BI5 can do at the same time - I asked Ken. He thinks it is a coincidence.
My question to you guys is - how many actions do you have ? Do you have disabled actions ? Do things improve if you delete the disabled actions ?

I think the root-cause is not the failing MQTT messages ... but that the AI is failing to restart after an update (seperate thread was created here)

The last few weeks I monitored more closely and I realized that the CodeProject AI was unable to restart after an update was applied.

Anybody else seen this?

[/img][/img][/img]I use the BI MQTT intensively to send confirmed Alerts to my home-automation and than to me telegram account .. so I get all the BI Alerts on my phone 24x7

Every Alerts is generating the below MQTT output ( I know there are redundant info and needs cleanup )

Good work. I also have zigbee2mqtt so plenty of traffic. BI5 just works with MQTT here though.

Does "Reliability History" show anything odd ?

I'm running Eclipse Mosquitto as well in my home automation system and I'm able to receive and send MQTT when BI is not sending anything.

To be fair, Eclipse Mosquitto was the first thing I checked when i did not receive BI MQTT anymore.

I'm runnig Zigbee2MQTT in my home and all these devices work fine .... only BI MQTT is an issue

How can you be sure your MQTT broker isn't stopping ? Mine doesn't seem to miss a beat here, and I'm running Eclipse Mosquitto on my home automation pc.

Same issue here, present for the last several months. Interestingly, BI logs states that messages were published, but MQTT explorer confirms that this is not true. A restart restores MQTT function for some time.

My Setup ==> Only BlueIris and CodeProject is running on this machine (usual load ~20% CPU)
- Laptop i7-Gen 8 16GB ram, SSD 256GB(internal)
- Windows 11
- NVidia 930MX graphics card
- SSD 128GB (external) for BI database & recording
- BlueIris as Service
- offload of SSD data to NAS on daily basis (via BI storage management)
- MQTT v5 remote server
- CodeProject AI setup
- 4 Camera setup
--> 1 camera permanent recording
--> 2 camera with alerts to mqtt (sending JPG & AI results)
--> 1 camera (no recording /alerts yet)

Thank you for that. I will also do some testing and will feedback here. I'm writing a list of issues for Support as well.
Are you guys running BI5 as a service ?

I have the same issue for a while (maybe 2-3 months ..but not sure)

1) Fresh start of system
2) all MQTT alerts are firing and are received
3) running for a few hours (sometime 10+ hours other time 2-3days .. no user interaction or web-access to blueiris in this time)
4) I can see the Alerts in blueiris
5) MQTT alerts are not firing anymore (checked with MQTT explorer)
6) run MQTT test
7) MQTT alerts firing again ... now it repeats from 3)

I'm running blueiris on a dedicated laptop with 16gb ram and SSD storage ... offloading old data to NAS

Working fine on 5.8.4.5

What did you do ? Tired of this software to be honest...

I suggest firing up MQTT Explorer and having a look if BI5 is sending any MQTT payloads.

I'm running BI5 v5.8.8.8 and it looks OK from here:

Hello,

I updated from 5.8.4.5 to the lastest version and now MQTT stop working after a few hours.

I never experience this before, this is working fine on 5.8.4.5.

Did you changed something ?
