Strange that it is working for you @Elefant_Man now.
I am on version 5.8.8.12 and it is still not jumping back to the start of the alert when I double-click on an alert in the alert list.

I have 5 cameras and one is actually working as it should and it is an AXIS P5635-E Mk II PTZ.
My 4 other cameras that are not jumping to the start of the alert are AXIS P3364.
I have triple checked the settings for the 4 AXIS P3364 and they are identical as the AXIS P5635.

I have emailed Blue Iris support with my logs.

I should mention that I only have 1 camera so I can very easily see the issue by hovering over the Alerts and see the wrong clip play. I will attach my April log file. Hopefully, it helps.

Yes, please inform Support. v5.8.9.5 is working normally for me and so I don't understand why not for you. Can you post a log file to see if anything is visibly wrong ?

My alert clips actually play a clip from several hours prior though. Not even related to the alert preview I am viewing.

I had the same issue, i.e. when double-clicking on an alert the alert clip started the playback many seconds AFTER the alert had happened.

I can confirm that downgrading back to 5.8.8.12 solved the issue and alert playback now starts on the trigger time (or the pre-trigger recording time if set).
