FWIW, I'm on same version, and none of my cams lost the "zone and hot spot" settings. Maybe camera differences? Mine mostly Dahua, a couple of Annke, all show same map... haven't changed in a while.

i only run dahua. but camera brand has nothing to do with how BI5 retains settings on motion zone settings.

in 3 yrs of running blue iris, never has a setting been reset to default after an update. it was definitely weird. sorta like my last issue months ago. after an update, trigger screenshots was being cropped to the motion zone definition area and the next update it fixed itself.
Statistics: Posted by nodak — Sat Jun 08, 2024 9:45 am

I'm now running BI5 v5.9.2.4 and my zones are still OK. That's a weird one. FWIW, I'm on same version, and none of my cams lost the "zone and hot spot" settings. Maybe camera differences? Mine mostly Dahua, a couple of Annke, all show same map... haven't changed in a while.
Statistics: Posted by rdxny — Thu Jun 06, 2024 9:19 pm

it seems after updating to 5.9.2.3, all my individual camera trigger "use zone and hot spot" defined motion zones reset to full camera view screen.

had to go back in and re define the area's i had to detect motion and send alerts to what i had defined prior to this update. went into each camera and they all were reset to full screen green.

was really annoying to get alerts all day from 3 camera's facing the street and everything passing by sending alerts instead of just the yard and parking pad.

edit: just a note, all other options set on the camera trigger edit screen was correct, just the defined motion zone was reset.
Statistics: Posted by nodak — Thu Jun 06, 2024 8:35 pm
