Sorry I don't know anything about ffmpeg, no need for it as I have BI if I need to export in MP4 format. All I know is that the BVR format is a bit unusual and most programs don't handle it well as you have found out!

getting the videos encoded by him is not feasible at this time. I can download blueiris trial and try to get the videos encoded, but ffmpeg is much more easier for me if the flow works. Is there something that can be done to get the encode going with ffmpeg?

Why not have your friend export them to MP4 then send them to you for further processing? Or download a trial copy of BI then use it to convert the file to MP4.

Hello,
I recieved a few bvr files from my friend and am trying to convert it to mp4 using mpeg. (planning to generate timelapses and watermarks on it) I tried to encode them to mp4 using the following command

d:\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -i e:\BLUEIRIS\driveway.20240613_0.bvr -vcodec libx264 -t 60 d:\out.mp4

But the out.mp4 that I get is very jittery,and looks corrupted. In additon when ffmpeg is running, I get the following errors(lots of them)
