It depends what you are wanting to do with it. Blue Iris can use the integrated gpu of a compatible i7 cpu, but anything else tends to need an Nvidia gpu. Any extra gpu will increase power requirements.

I went for an i7-8700k cpu due to its relatively low power, and only added a GTX1650 when I need to accelerate CPAI. That is also a low power card. Quite important for a PC that will remain powered up 24/7.

Hi all,
Looking to get started again on BI I am looking at a Dell Optiplex 7090 SFF I7 to run it on.
It comes with an AMD RADEON RX 640 GPU.
Will BI play OK with this GPU or should I look elsewhere?
Any advice appreciated.
