I suppose 5.7.4.2 and 5.7.6.4 are 'old' by today's standards, huh?

Anyway, my tried and true rock solid 5.7.4.2 has the earlier 'Get ONVIF Trigger Events' option in the IP cam configuration pane but lacks the 'ONVIF/Camera Events' configuration option available in 5.7.6.4. (a demo). The latter works as one would expect. The former on my main server is giving me a run for the money and I can't quite figure it out or find equivalent options to the 'ONVIF/Camera Events' section provided in 5.7.6.4.

Any assistance in pointing me toward the snake that probably should have bitten me already will be appreciated!
Statistics: Posted by Pogo — Fri Aug 09, 2024 9:32 pm

Welcome to the forum, and strike 1. Personal abuse will not be tolerated, but freedom of speech is vital. The previous posts are all the thoughts of forum members, and the only problem person was a spammer. My personal views are my own as a volunteer moderator, and do not always align with the management.
We also believe that Blue Iris should keep old versions, and we have said so. If you wish to change things, please send an email to Support, and let us know their response. If necessary I can create a poll for forum members to show what users are thinking.
Please read the forum Terms and Conditions before posting again.
Statistics: Posted by TimG — Fri Jun 14, 2024 10:22 am

I came here to say that some of these responses are from absolutely childish pri#ks.

The email I was sent for registration had a "shareit.com" link for the download. Guess what happens when you have to rebuild your computer? It's unable to be downloaded. Get rekt. If you're going to lock people into a version you should offer those downloads. I work at a company that does this and it's absolutely shady and crap that BI doesn't. The responses in this thread are garbage as well. Thankfully this thread is a top google result for the basic question so other people will see this trite bullsh@t too.
Statistics: Posted by GrumpyOldMan — Fri Jun 14, 2024 4:59 am

Is it possible to upgrade the main server to Blue Iris version 5.0 and use version 4.0 on the new computer, or would it require two separate installations of Blue Iris 5.0 with distinct licenses?

GMTFeaps, I am no expert, but I believe that once you upgrade the 4.0 to 5.0, that license carries to that installation. So, you wouldn't be able to install the old 4.0 anywhere because it would now be the new 5.0. I ended up upgrading like you proposed and getting a second 5.0. I would suggest contacting BlieIris and they will help you get it going and with pricing since you own an instance already. I will attest to that.
Statistics: Posted by KeithGP — Thu Mar 07, 2024 6:58 pm
