If I use the cameras overlays and not blue iris overlays for time and date and camera name will it show the overlays using direct to disk when I need to export a recording? Geofence question
I just setup blue iris. I have the geofencing setup. I have the enter and exit set to hold and change to home or away. I get the notification saying I left the house but it’s not changing from home to away. Is it because I have it set to hold for the profile? Should it be temp or run? The help files...

I hat your not getting is my dahua NVR is racked mounted in a rack with a lock. Everything is on battery. So they can take my power meter. I’ll still have full battery for 6 hours. They can break in and see the cameras on the screen. They can’t do anything. NVR is locked with username and password. ...

Basically using a NVR will make you enter the username and password to do anything but view live cameras. So it’s secure.
Blue iris is not. Anyone with a mouse can access everything.

My point is I shouldn’t have to do all this. It should have some type of security build in. I mean this is recording and maintaining cctv. Should have security.

I used Blue Iris for 3 years. Switched to a NVR 5 months ago. Went back to Blue Iris. My concern is this. I leave my Blue Iris on a 42" monitor in my kitchen. Anyone can access Blue Iris and windows for that matter. When will Blue Iris lock the settings with a user name and password like a Dahu...
