Re: Empire Tech/Dahua Smart motion not feeding ONVIF events
I would imagine it means "do a factory reset".

Re: Empire Tech/Dahua Smart motion not feeding ONVIF events
You mention you are unsure if you are using ODM properly. You generally seem to have a good grasp of these things, but did you fully log in to the camera with ODM ? With my Reolink doorbell, that was the part that showed me exactly what the Onvif commands from the doorbell looked like.

Check in the cameras own menu if you have to enable Onvif with a user/pw combo. I'm thinking it's an authorisation issue.

Re: MQTT &MEMO not working? Limit on length?
I'm sure I've had that working before. Can you show your BI5 On Alert/ Action set/ MQTT settings for it ? I've got MQTT outputting car number plates from BI5 via MQTT and Homeseer reading them out via Alexa speakers. The other use was to restrict the BI5 MQTT to only trigger when "Required AI O...

Well done. My gut feeling was right, but I missed that in your settings, as it IS ticked in mine. It does make it clear how to use ONVIF triggers with CPAI though, which I will look into with my (Mainly Dahua) system.

Re: Towards a better multi-phone geofence
It means you can do anything you like with as many users and phones as you like. Homeseer is however quite expensive. I haven't looked into doing the same with Home Assistant, but I can be sure they have a solution too. Do you have a spare Raspberry Pi (And a lot of time !) ? I use MQTT for comms be...

Re: Towards a better multi-phone geofence
I don't use it, as I have Geofencing working from Homeseer with HSBuddy. Home automation with geofencing has many more possibilities, including Alexa saying "Tim is nearly home", and the ability to add multiple locations. Multiple users are a piece of cake

Re: BI stopped calling AI - no errors, just stopped?
Weird ! OK, lets have a look. What we do know is that it was working until you adjusted everything, so it must be a setting ! 1. BI5 general settings/ AI - Untick "Auto start/stop with Blue Iris". That was required early on with DeepStack, but will cause havoc with CPAI now as it runs as a...

Well I can see you posted this on the CPAI website, and they gave you a link to download it.
If you get it working, can you add the details here for those that may follow

Re: BI5 email/pw needs to be changed
Right, As I understand it, as long as you know your License-Key, everything else will fall into line: 1. The email address used is simply the one you put in BI5 general settings on the "Blue iris Settings/ About" tab. If you ever send a Support email request, it will become part of the &qu...
