Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
The reason I asked about the sub-stream being used for motion detection is because I have the object size set very small so the camera can pickup on things like birds and groundhogs in the yard. Groundhogs annoy me, and I like to see where they're at and then set them up for an interesting day with ...

Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
Is the 270 degree cam just physically situated in that orientation or does there happen to also be a 90 degree or 180 flip/rotate added via the firmware? I'm not having the camera do anything to the image, all the rotation occurs in Blue Iris. The camera is mounted to look out a window that is more...

Re: TP-Link Tapo Cameras
I did notice today that some of their newer products seem to support better framerates. The C120 is native 20 fps whereas it seems the C125 is "15/20/25/30 fps (Default 15fps)." If someone gets one of the C125's, please comment on how the framerate is set in the app, or if it's dynamically...

Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
Pogo, you nailed it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had been messing around with those encoding settings so much that I took your advise and deleted all the cameras, re-adding them with your exact recommendations. With constant recording on (3) 2k cameras, motion zones active on all cameras, the...

Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
Pogo, I have not yet set up sub streams. Based on you suggestion, I assume that's possible. How would I do that?
These are 2 fairly powerful PC's (even the old crappy one), I was hoping to review footage full resolution if possible.

Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
For the time being, I have reverted to all content being re-encoded to h.264 which may be the native file format for the TAPO cameras anyway, but seems to be the only thing that produces clear video via UI3. It does however take nearly 50% of the server's 11400 processor to achieve this, even with Q...

Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
It seems that no matter what settings I use, if it's direct-to-disk recording, this is the result from a web browser.

Re: TP-Link Tapo Cameras
I went ahead and dialed 2020 into the ONVIF port for each camera. Much appreciated!
