Re: Windows 11 requirements - Bit of a shock !
I just updated my primary computer (not my Blue Iris system) yesterday which was not TPM (1.2) or CPU (3rd Gen i7) compliant but otherwise was ok. I applied the 'officially supported' MSFT registry tweak and Win 11 installed just fine. We'll see if that comes back to bite me at some point in the fut...

Re: New PC Drives configuration
So I could put OS and DB on same drive, OR, DB and New on same drive right? Correct, you can put the DB anywhere you want - you just have to specify a folder. The recommendation is that it's on local and fast storage - I would note that ALLLLL of your storage option plans are "fast", it d...

Re: New PC Drives configuration
There is no need for the DB to be on a different drive if it's still local. It's important but doesn't need THAT heavy of dedication. Also it doesn't need anywhere near that amount of space. For comparison, I only have 9 cameras but my storage is still around 7TB so I hold about 3 weeks worth of con...

Re: Lost zoom capability in 5.5.2.1
I'm rolling back to 5.5.2.0 as well. I just had an unexpected crash while on 5.5.2.1... I think pretty much my first one ever. I'm sure it won't be long til 5.5.2.2 is out.

Re: i7-11700 Pure Performance
First let me say, thank you for posting your Status window - that helps tremendously. I also completely agree with MikeLud. While you do have a beast of a CPU, substreams will make a huge difference in what it has to do and with very little downside. You may actually find that you can turn up the Ma...

Re: How do you use your PTZ?
Oh believe me, I'm too cheap to get a PTZ on my own. I only got it because I got one of those offers to "do an Amazon review and you get the camera free" deals. I know it's generally frowned upon because they're in essence buying reviews but in my situation - I'm leaving an honest review s...

Re: memory leak 5.5.1.18
Just curious, what is your server environment? Is it a VM? What hypervisor? What OS is your server? I too have a memory leak though not anywhere near as severe as yours looks. I don't have the link handy but I've seen a forum topic that does reference memory leak issues when running on a VMware hype...

How do you use your PTZ?
I have a new PTZ, my first, and it's installed and working in BI including the PTZ controls. The camera however unfortunately does not have built-in auto humanoid tracking - which would be ideal. It's placed above a sidewalk and next to the driveway so following someone as they walk down would have ...
