Re: Performance issues with Intel I7 7700 + 16gb ram
According to windows I'm using about 20% CPU, but blue iris says I'm using 91-98% most the time. Maybe blue iris isn't using all my cores? I think from what you are describing is that Blue Iris' method for calculating CPU usage doesn't match Windows task manager. This may be only a cosmetic problem...

Re: Blue Iris Update Manager
Reddawg, Many thanks for the Blue Iris Update Manager scripts, they've already helped me out of a jam once. I haven't installed the scheduled tasks for backing up the Blue Iris settings and archiving updates; I usually just run both scripts before I upgrade BI to make sure I'm up to date. Could I c...

Re: 5.2.2.0 Update
It looks like updates v5.2.2.0 through 5.2.2.2 have been pulled from downloading and installing through the "Checking for new updates" feature in Blue Iris settings -> About tab. However, anyone that may have installed any of the above mentioned updates before they were pulled might want t...

Re: Blue Iris Update Manager
NOTICE: I have noticed that Update version 5.2.2.1 gets stuck and does not complete when you manually run it outside of the Blue Iris app. I first discovered this problem because only this specific Update (v5.2.2.1) was hanging and not completing in my Restore utility called "RestoreBI5.cmd&qu...

Re: Blue Iris Update Manager
I just released an updated version of Blue Iris Update Manager that backs up all Blue Iris' settings stored in the registry using RegEdit.exe and now saves it in a ZIP compressed file instead of REG files. This reduces each backup from about 25MB to 282KB. DOWNLOAD BI5UpdateMgmt-v2.0.zip ===========...

Re: Upgrading v4 to v5
thanks for that, all back to normal again.... fun part was putting windows 10 in to safe mode ! :) Glad to hear. I miss how simple safe mode was in Windows 7. UEFI and Windows 10 makes things more complicated. The easiest way to achieve safe mode in Windows 10 providing that your PC can boot is to ...

Re: Upgrading v4 to v5
Just done the upgrade, exported the v5 data, then uninstalled v4. Re: Problems after KB4540673
Tried to update Windows 4 times, always says it can't finish the update and then undoes the changes. Knocking out specific updates hasn't helped so far (flash, mostly). No way I can see to not install the .NET framework. I am so so so so sick of Windows. I'd pay $100 for a Linux port of BI. Maybe e...

Re: How many releases is it possible to do in a single week ?
Seriously. Every time my console restarts the bloody thing wants to do another update. Have the people in charge at Blue Iris ever heard of change control and quality control in software development lifecycles ? The whole thing stinks of an amateur bodging fixes together constantly. After this rele...

Re: Problems after KB4540673
If you do an Edit -> Mark and then highlight that area as if to copy it, does anything show up? Thank you Thixotropic. Your suggestion led me to the solution. When I copied and pasted the Command Prompt window into Notepad, I was able to read the characters. Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18362.65...
