Re: Using a tablet as viewing screen for cameras
You can get tablets pretty cheap now days. If you will be using WIFI, try to find one that will use 5g. I purchased a Meberry and use Onvier (pro version) to monitor the doors and it works well. I've been using it for over a year now and no battery problems. I have BI on it but only to get the push ...

Re: BI software update notification
I can understand you being cautious with updates. My BI system is right next to my general use pc. I don't want to dedicate a monitor for it so I use windows remote desktop to access the BU UI for camera settings and updates, and use the web UI3 on my general use computer to monitor the cameras. Bei...

Re: BI software update notification

I run BI as a service on a headless windows 10 pc that is used only for this and use the web UI3 interface on a different pc to monitor the cameras. Right know the only way that I know how to check f...

Re: On Alert Sound Actions - only works if BI client isn't running
This is how it works for me too. I run BI on a headless windows 10 pc that is used for nothing else and use the UI2 on another pc to monitor the cameras. The performance is good so I only open the BI UI to check for updates. It's weird but it works.

Re: Alerts -> sound not working
I am having the same issue. The alert sound does not work if Blue Iris UI is open. But if the UI is closed the alert sound works. Every sound slider that I can find in Blue Iris or the system is not muted and at least on 50%, (up to 100%). Blue Iris runs as a background service and the UI as admin. ...
