Re: SMS Alerts w/ T-Mobile
No I do not. Simply someone who had a problem, searched for a solution, and shared it for others.

Re: SMS Alerts w/ T-Mobile
Here is the "skillset" needed to use pushover for a given device: 1. Download and install the pushover app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. 2. Create a pushover account, login to pushover (which gives your phone a unique id for the receipt of notifications). 3. Replace &q...

Re: SMS Alerts w/ T-Mobile
Here is at least one, very simple, answer to the problem. Very complete instructions (yes, I know that it is from ipcamtalk) https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/send-pushover-notifications-with-pictures-and-hyperlinks.58819/ I have used Pushover without issue. Simply replaced "<phonenumber>@tmomail.n...

Re: SMS Alerts w/ T-Mobile
T-Mobile's (and perhaps other carrier's) email-to-phone is not reliable and may go away. One explanation of the problem I've heard is that the FCC has mandated that carriers scan these messages for spam. The systems are not up to the task. I'm in search of something that will reliably send SMS/MMS m...

How to simply turn on a smart wifi plug on motion detect
I have spent the morning trying to find a simple and cheap way to turn on smart plug when motion is detected. Much of the info I've found is outdated or overkill (zwave, homeseer, etc.). Can anyone point me to a simple tutorial on what to do? Wifi is fine, cloud-based server is fine - this is not &q...

Re: How to export/save/capture a clip as BVR?
Thanks so much for the detailed reply (for some reason I wasn't notified of your post). BI Support confirmed that you can't export a BVR from a clip, but thought it would be a good thing to have in the product. I was trying to determine why some motion detected by BI was not resulting in a trigger. ...

How to export/save/capture a clip as BVR?
My understanding is that a Clip is just reference to a portion of a recording. Is there a way to put that portion ("Clip") into a file? This article on fine tuning Motion Settings https://blueirissoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2526 says to work with a Clip and that if you have...

Getting "Blue Iris Status alert" emails - why?
I started getting periodic emails with the subject "Blue Iris Status alert" from BI 5.5.2.5. Looking at the emails and the Status log there is nothing untoward that would indicate why - unless it is a News announcement? Any ideas?

Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread
What irks me about BI 5 (and keeps me from exploring it further) is that if you open a clip or alert you no longer have a "Camera Properties" button or the availability of a right-click popup menu that can access Camera Properties. BI 4 gave you immediate access to Camera Properties from t...
