My company has rid itself of Microsoft Windows, except for me and my BI box. I need to move.
Are there any plans for BI on Linux? With the decline of Windows, that seems logical.
Will BI run on Linux using Wine?
Any BI alternatives on Linux?

Re: Field of view
Yes, I mean BI rather than the camera. Which app do you mean ? In UI3 I can zoom in with the mouse on live video and recordings - clearly digital zoom rather than optical zoom. You solved it! Thanks! Right click on mouse and selected 'zoom out'. I thought that there was such an option, but I could ...

Field of view
Recently I noticed that the field of view for my camera shown the BI app was reduced, as if it was zoomed. Pulling the camera up on the web interface showed the full field camera view. Why is the view shown by the app only about 75% of that shown on the web interface? I thought that the camera neede...

Re: Oh no..Another motion detection question!
Some quick things to check: uncheck “limit decoding unless required” ensure your camera has a decent FPS I can’t remember the setting but it’s something about the interval to motion check frames The there is playing with the trigger contrast, size, etc I struggled with this exact scenario when I fi...

Re: Oh no..Another motion detection question!
I've got no clip to run through a test trigger option - it didn't trigger, therefore no recording. I've tried repeating the same motion by walking through the area and it will trigger OK. The missed motion was hours after a previous trigger, so not subject to any retrigger time. It has me stumped. T...

Oh no..Another motion detection question!
What could cause BI to completely miss a motion event? I’m a long time user, with motion detection working well. I use zone crossings and have things tuned up well. Occasionally, BI will completely miss a motion event. Identical zone crossing events happen. BI at times will completely miss one, afte...

Re: Password 'problem'
Thanks. I'll try it if I ever get the motivation and time to try to upgrade again. I'm still smarting from the half day wasted attempting the "easy" upgrade. Currently V4 works great and meets my needs. No reason to change. I didn't find anything in the documentation about this V5 password...

Re: Amazon Echo
It would be great is BI had a skill that allowed camera viewing on an Echo Show. Monocle software is said to work with some cameras to allow Echo viewing, however I was unable to get it working after wasting a lot of time trying. I did manage to get the BI web interface to show up on the Echo, but i...

Re: Password 'problem'
Same problem on an upgrade from V4. Will not accept valid user/password. Tried lot of combinations. User/password works elsewhere in Windows, but not in BI. Went back to V4.
