Re: AI Custom Models.

At one time, one had to provide the folder containing a list of models. For vanilla installation, CPAI fills that in during install, and you select the model you want to use on the AI settings page of each camera. If you want to add your own models (pt files) that is done in the CPAI settings. Head ...

Re: Building a new PC - GPU helps?

The GPU will speed up examination time in the BI/CPAI application.
The card needs to be on the supported list and the amount of memory is key. I am using an ancient NVIDIA adapter with only 2GB of memory and have to be careful how many cameras that use AI. Planning to upgrade.

Re: Can you trigger a clip by AI person detection?

We use that all the time. The trigger event starts the process. If you use AI, BlueIris passes the image(s), captured by the trigger event, to AI for analysis. You tell AI what to look for and what model to use. If AI returns nothing found, BI will keep a cancelled alert event. Easiest to see in the...

Re: Longer motion detection analysis?

Not real sure, probably varies by surroundings and reflections. I do 4-5 examinations, 200 msec apart. I think this allows for a re-trigger. Fortunate enough to get frequent drive byes on 4 different cameras to experiment.

Re: I see them inbound but not outbound

Seems like 712 for min size is large for person or cat. They would have to be pretty close. You might also use object detection for zone A and define it. You show a truck, but don't have vehicle in the AI setting.

Re: Longer motion detection analysis?

I suggest using a night time schedule. Then at night time, you could increase the +real-time images (camera//trigger/nighttime/Artificial Intelligence setting) and maybe stretch them out some. You might also try experimenting with the "end trigger unless...." time.

Re: Seeking Assistance with Eliminating False Positives in Motion Detection

>>AI should be able to identify a person even without seeing their head. AI, in our use, is nothing more than a (very good, free) program that looks through a database (the ipcam-general "model") to compare our passed in images for a person or vehicle match. We do not, at this time, have t...

Re: Seeking Assistance with Eliminating False Positives in Motion Detection

Not sure if this helps. I run CPAI in a docker image on another system but that shouldn't matter. The AI page in BI just shows a list of the available models, the one(s) you want to use get specified in the camera settings. On the camera alert page, I specify persons and ipcam-general (contains pers...
