Re: CPU overload
Sub streams are the way to go with BI now that the bugs are out. I run an i7-4790, 22 cameras at 15fps, no hardware acceleration, averaging 16-18% CPU usage.

Re: Total refresh
Export your BI setting to a USB drive or somewhere so those cameras will be a snap to reinstall to the new BI.

Re: No updates for a week and a half!
5.2.9.20 was released today. I have had no issues since .18 and .19 so I am assuming it is near perfection as far as I am concerned.

Re: hardware Acceloration
I have the same i7 4790 but only 16g ram I have not tried hardware acceleration yet. With 20 cameras recording 10 to 15 fps, direct to disk. All cameras are set to use the newer SUB STREAM feature which Ken has managed to get most of the bugs out during the last 2 releases within the last week. My C...

Re: Performance tuning: a surprising result, have others had this?
10 to 15 fps is fine in BI Wait until you try the new sub stream feature that was implemented in recent updates. I run 20 cameras on an gen one i7 and my CPU usage ran near 90% with my fps set at from 10 to 15. After configuring the sub streams it now runs around 25% CPU. Actually you are in good sh...

Re: Did I do it or is it 5.2.9.15 ?
I upgraded to 5.2.9.15 today. I noticed all cameras were updating at 5 second intervals. I found that under Settings/info, CAMERAS the "Video during Remote Desktop" tab was set for 5 seconds. I changed it to UNLIMITED and now all is well. This is not the first time that some of my settings...

Re: Is Priority Support Working?
I give Ken credit for the work he is doing being a small operator. I love the software and for the price, I have gotten my moneys worth several times over the past couple of years. With the newer sub steam option CPU usage is not an issue anymore.

Check the ALERTS tab to see if they are turned on.
