Re: New camera setup
Welcome, so many infos and no response. Here are my suggestions: 12x 8MP cams will work fine if you go the BI substream route but 8MP cams needs lots of light (IR or white) and lots of storage space, I run mine at 5MP, better go 4MP cams with 1/1.8" sensor (Dahua 5442 / Hik DS-2CD2347G2-LU), be...

Re: Constant crashing after about 48hrs
Try latest "highly-stable" version (5.4.6.3). Latest version isn't always rock stable. A good helper for these releases is watchdog functionality from "Blue Iris Tools". It restarts BI service automatically after a crash.

Re: PC Location
I run BI server also headless, rdp and tightVNC server for backup. I use an IP power switch for situation where the system doesn't come up after updating Windows. In BIOS/UEFI there is always an option: "Restore on AC/Power Loss” setting to “Power On”.

Re: Record all footage but also show real time feed from each camera on separate screens?
I would use rtsp for this (BI is also an rtsp server): manual p.213: "RTSP server You may request an RTSP stream from your HTTP port as well with the URI format /{cam- short-name} or /{group-name}. Stream and image parameters may be added just as they are available for /image. For example: rtsp...

Re: Trigger -> Record -> Not Notify & Notify Question
Hard to say how to archive it, my spatial imagination is not the best. For me it sounds like you need to define more non-overlapping zones instead of one full FOV zone or get an additional front porch camera. ;-) Two things to play with: "Break time" under "Trigger" tab (duration...

Re: Trigger -> Record -> Not Notify & Notify Question
Isn't "Motion zones" under "Alerts" tab exactly made for this scenario? E.g. Zone A is full FOV, Zone B is a part of it, so fire mail alert only for trigger source Zone B.

Re: UI3 Live View Tiled Cameras Display Resolution
My question is: how can I increase the resolution of the tiled multi-camera view (in my case 4 cameras shown)? This resolution is much lower for some reason. I cannot find a setting that deals with the tiled view. This is a bit hidden in "Group settings": set1.PNG You can enter custom res...
