Older Versions?

I suppose 5.7.4.2 and 5.7.6.4 are 'old' by today's standards, huh? Anyway, my tried and true rock solid 5.7.4.2 has the earlier 'Get ONVIF Trigger Events' option in the IP cam configuration pane but lacks the 'ONVIF/Camera Events' configuration option available in 5.7.6.4. (a demo). The latter works...

Re: Random Cameras losing signal at random times, fustrating ongoing issue

Pogo. That was the first thing I did. The router is good. All the addresses are static and are in the DHCP reserved list. Cool. So are mine. But..., Blue Iris itself doesn't necessarily care about that and can ( and does ) change the IP address in the config file for the camera based on incorrect d...

I'm guessing the issue is with Blue Iris itself
A careful review of your networking may reveal the problem is the LAN and Blue Iris is just the symptom..., or is incorrectly configured for the actual LAN environment itself.

Re: Your Satisfaction Level with Blue Iris 4K Performance

It occurred to me I probably should not have posted what I did, because I only run 4fps... Thanks for the clarification and context, though I pretty much indicated my BI application use case is designed around a real-time live streaming surveillance setup in hopes of generating responses from folks...

Re: Your Satisfaction Level with Blue Iris 4K Performance

Thanks for the report. Sounds promising. Care to share specific server and camera configuration details? And yes, the BI h.265 implementation is a disaster any way you cut it, though I have made it work to a limited extent..., with Reolink cameras no less. Still not ready for prime time by any means.

Your Satisfaction Level with Blue Iris 4K Performance

The continuing inability of Blue Iris to adequately handle 4K activity is an increasing source of dissatisfaction with its development for me. I could care less if CPAI can tell the difference between a goat and a bicycle, but do care about horrendously poor rendering of even an h264 4K live stream ...

Re: Bitdefender blocking push notifications

Ditto. I used Bitdefender for years. I saw it get more an more resource heavy for what it was supposed to be doing along with packaging all the external bloatware crap I had no interest in. Finally ditched it in favor of Windows Defender and haven't looked back..., and regained an appreciable level ...

Re: BI Screen Setup?

The basic evolution of random cameras into a more acceptable viewing arrangement. (Sorry for the lousy quality. Just some test stuff on a demo box.) The menu options are opened by right clicking on a camera. Lots of customization obviously available in a slightly less than intuitive manner. It will ...

Re: Random Cameras losing signal at random times, fustrating ongoing issue

I'm having a similar issue with BI... The issue is not BI. BI is just exposing the problem. These are all on Wi-Fi.... That is likely your problem and where investigation needs to focus, at least initially. They were working fine for months, then this started about 2 weeks ago. What changed 2 weeks...

Re: BI Screen Setup?

Have you explored any of the 'Edit Layout' features in the upper right area of the desktop display pane?( It's the pencil in a box next to the cog icon next to the Group drop down selector.) You should be able to scale the cameras to occupy pretty much the entire viewing area. There are several ways...
