Re: Best way to access BI5 remotely if I don't have a real world IP
I would recommend Duckdns.org Its free and only free and you can have up to 5 domain names, given you only need one its going to be perfect.

Re: Recommended hardware configuration for 43 cameras
Welcome, 2950X isn't the best choice, it's not about CPU power its more about HW video coding power in hardware, not software. You can run 43cams off a much smaller system with the right cpu choice like the intel i5-10600 higher. Since your asking about the 2950X you have to do video decode on the G...

Re: CPU overload
HeneryH - You can change the motion size. Eg you can make it so a cat won't triggers it but a large dog would etc. You can also remove the tree from the motion trigger. I do this with 2 trees that blow around, if the tree grows too much you might have to increase the area but normally works fine.

Re: Hardware for 32 Cameras
Dont go with AMD. I am a AMD fan boy but not for this. The Intel IGPU in anything higher than a i5-8500 will do h264 and h265 hardware on the CPU. I would go with the highest class intel cpu you can buy. EG 8000/9000/10000 series. Each having a better IGPU than the older version. Anything older than...

Re: CPU overload
Heres another tick for you if you want to save disk space and save some CPU time. For each of your cameras copy them. So you have two of each, for the second one call that camera1SD and on those record, the substream "lower res feed from camera" set that to record 24/7 and go back into you...

Re: CPU overload
Interesting. I have 15 cameras 4mp to 5mp running on an i5-8400 using IGPU at around 40%-45%. H264 not h265 I would try not to use the nvidia gpu and use the integrated one. Doing so you will have to also run H264 as i don't think the IGPU in your CPU supports h265 hw decode etc. The Intel HD graphi...

Re: Configure help needed - error moving file from stored to nas backup
The problem could be with blueiris running as admin but the fileshare only has your user rights. Eg you can write to the folder on your NAS but if you run as a admin on windows it can not write. Test: Open up a command prompt - start or search - RIGHT CLICK and click run as administrator. cd z: driv...

Re: Windows 10 100% Disk Usage
You say high Disk Usage, In Windows 10, Make sure your running version 2004 with all the latest windows updates, in task manager it should show you which drive is showing the high usage on the list on the left in the Performance Tab. Which drive does it show? If you then click on the bottom "Op...

Re: Data management
Yes that will happen, You have to make sure all the drives "Space" connected to Blueiris are always available. If you have multiple folders you want video files moved between and one folder or drive is removed then the video files from the upper folders have nowhere to go and will start fi...
