Re: Profiles not functioning as expected
I have added a new camera and again it does not respond to the profile selection on the General Tab. I have selected the camera be accessible in profile 1 and 2 but it is visible in every profile. Anyone know of any tools such as a database viewer that I could use to troubleshoot what is going on wi...

Re: Turn on Floodlight when motion detected
ht.jpg ht.jpg As Henry mentioned it ain't easy. Sounds simple, but it isn't easy to control a light using a camera without additional equipment. The good news is that new solutions are coming out every day. If you want something plug-and-play, your simplest route would be to buy a floodlight equipp...

Re: Android App Spinner Icon...Spin..Spin..Spin..
Will I notice any improvements to this when I upgrade my server to BI-5 ? I can't say for certain but I'd guess that this is actually more of an issue with the Android app than the BI software itself. I can say that the app does not work as well as it could. If a camera is not reporting it just sho...

Android App Spinner Icon...Spin..Spin..Spin..
BI Android App Ver 2.0.69 BI Version 4.8.6.3 Greetings. While viewing cameras in the Android app, the spinner icon appears when selecting which camera to view by swiping sideways. Normally this spins until the next cam is in view but too often the spinner continues to spin without loading the camera...

Re: Profiles not functioning as expected
Thanks for the reply.
My mistake it was all 7 profiles.
I deleted the bad camera, then copied a working camera configuration to a new camera config then edited the IPs etc.
This is working as expected.

Profiles not functioning as expected
BI 4.x I am having issues with profiles. I have more than 18 cameras which I swap in and out using profiles and for the most part this works just fine and keeps the CPU usage in check. Recently I created a new camera and selected 2 profiles to use it with. My issue is no matter which profile I selec...

Re: Camera time vs real time
You might consider running an NTP (Network Time Protocol) server such as Meinberg on your BI machine. The server basically allows the cameras to log in and synchronize their time with the server. This server software is very low impact on the CPU and as far as I can tell it is open source. Most IP c...
