Re: Forum extremely slow again...
It’s definitely something that makes me click away from this forum. Since my time as a member here I have experienced slow loading of pages. If there is a better forum software/web code, in the future it should be considered. I have participated in numerous forums for the past 35 years, and I will s...

Re: Using dedicated Network Card / Adapter to isolate cameras from Internet?
But then I would need to buy another router. I have an ASUS RT- AC68U flashed with Merlin, but there is no way to create a VLAN with this router. It is a good router and I have OpenVPN setup on it for remote viewing. There should be a way to setup a dedicated Network Adapter for just my IP Cams. But...

Re: Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE camera settings for Blue Iris...
No, I am on BI4, but Intel hardware acceleration still does NOT work for H265 in BI5. I personally and in my specific use case prefer the extra compression of H265 over the potential CPU savings of H264. So I get the feeling that for BI when setting up your Dahau camera that it might be best to use...

Re: Just starting...Any 4K cameras that work well?
You would be advised to stay away from Reolink by most experienced BI users. Read up some over at IPCamTalk.com some of the camera reviews. Dahua is liked because of quality image especially at night. And there is a guy, Andy, who sells direct them from Hong Kong at great pricing. Read the Wiki and ...

I searched extensively over at IPCT, using Google, and there seemed to be not a lot of discussion about H.264H, most centered around H264 and H265. But much of those threads were made during BI4. So I was wondering if With BI5 it might be good to use. HeneryH, do you use BI5?

Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE camera settings for Blue Iris...
I am setting up a Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE purchased from Empire Tech directly. I would like to ask a few questions about the settings that you should do in the Dahua GUI and also within Blue Iris. My first two questions are... What is the difference between "H.264H" and just "H.264"...
