Re: What does "Triggered: External" really mean?
Have you looked at the config on the cameras web interface to see if ONVIF events are turned on, I know nothing about hikvision cameras so I don't know if this is an option or not, also check the camera settings in BI on the "Trigger" tab and ensure that ONVIF/camera events is not checked!

Re: Alerts only showing for one camera when all cameras on screen
Very strange that you say you have an alert from 1969, I am sure that your system was not running then, so the date must have been wrong at some point! Sounds like some sort of corruption in your files, have you considered completely clearing all of the recorded videos and doing a database delete, t...

Re: High CPU usage with AI activated (CUDA)
Have you tried using the .Net module, some people have reported that it uses less CPU than the CUDA solution. You don't mention how many triggers you have per minute. I am not an expert on this by any means

Re: blue iris exporting bvr to mp4
Sorry I don't know anything about ffmpeg, no need for it as I have BI if I need to export in MP4 format. All I know is that the BVR format is a bit unusual and most programs don't handle it well as you have found out!

Re: blue iris exporting bvr to mp4
Why not have your friend export them to MP4 then send them to you for further processing? Or download a trial copy of BI then use it to convert the file to MP4.

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
You did not mention that you were running CPAI, that would put a significant bottleneck on a system with that may alerts per second!
