Re: Importing older clips into BI
I think you'll find it a futile exercise as the Blue Iris database will have no points of reference for the imported files..., among a variety of other reasons.

Re: Topic images do not appear.
This is what is working for me -- even with an i7 4790 which is absorbing the h265 load. Nothing fancy. No BI inner circle secret voodoo. Pretty much as simple as it gets for any basic camera configuration. 811 cfg.jpg The first thing you'll likely notice is H264 RTSP selected in the Model slot. It'...

Vlans should be supported on your Asus using Merlin. Depending on the router model and Merlin version it may not have a GUI for doing so, but should still be able to be accomplished via CLI if you have the patience for it. Peck around a little and you may get lucky and find a GUI.

Re: Topic images do not appear.
It is relatively new beta firmware and was not publicly available to my knowledge. There have been several releases over the past year or two addressing the variety of quirks inherent in the 8MP cameras. Most added new quirks. Mine is v3.1.0.2109_23042409 has the camera working fine now. The thread ...

Now where IS the OP :?: Good morning (evening?), Tim. Basically my main point. And ack on everything you mentioned. A little more detail on the physical network and what else may be hanging off of it would certainly assist all of us in offering a practical first step solution to his initial complai...

Re: Hardware / Software Two Different Locations
The 1st network card in the BI PC you connect to your home network. Let's start there, shall we? LOL And is a BI box the only NVR, or is there something else in the mix? And let's not lose sight of the original complaint of sluggish performance -- particularly PTZ response. As mentioned previously,...

Re: Hardware / Software Two Different Locations
Get things working right on your existing LAN and don't worry about elaborate security measures. Just disable any UPNP settings in your router until you can get things up and running effectively. I would personally look at P2P as a simple and relatively secure remote access solution before jumping t...

Re: Topic images do not appear.
Other threads stated RTMP worked well for Reolink, and it does. Rock solid now, just no sub streams unless somebody knows how to get them. This is what I ended up using for my 811A. As basic as it gets with no special tricks to overcome the dreaded Reolink 'Gotchas" and is also rock solid now ...
