Thanks, but I've always used D2D, no change to encoding, both streams, etc etc for recordings. That doesn't help with the rtsp streams provided by the BI web server, which area the issue here.

That's a thought; i thought the camera was dropping out completely (it's a wi-fi thing, so prone to do that), but perhaps it's just getting low bandwidth for a moment and can't get the main stream through. Interesting; please do post back if you get anything from BI support (not that it's very likely in my experience of them!). I like to be able to assign a camera to a disk/folder, to spread the work across spindles based on how the cameras are used. I used to use ACTi's NVR and could do that easily. ...
