Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread

You can quickly export as MP4 with out re-encoding. Which I found useless without timestamp, given prime purpose of BI as surveillance package. In fact, it is rational to offer a VLC plugin for VBR playback by non-users like law enforcement, or a portable stand-alone mini BVR player as a UI wrap ar...

Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread

BVR Trimming It would be nice to trim and save an existing BVR section as a separate BVR without re-encoding. Allows to save plenty of disk space in home setup, if done daily to keep only small video sections of interest. When required, some of these sections can be converted later to MP4, possibly ...

Re: Camera overlays in MP4

Instead of exporting a section of BVR file with overlay by re-encoding, which is a CPU intensive process, is it possible to trim and save an existing BVR section as a separate BVR without re-encoding?

Check & reset BI Live view speed controls below the cam view.

Re: Only Records for 30 Sec and then Stops

Anyone know what might have happened The BI package checks your license on their server each time you start it. May be a glitch occurred once, and BI "panished" you. They might also monitor new users of this forum for package licensing, asking not to use VPN which is unusual for a securit...

Re: Android Refresh/Update - 3.0.14+

A valid domain, and a valid IP. Does one need a "valid domain", if they want to stream a cam from BI Android app on a smartphone to a PC on the same LAN with BI and Nginx web server installed? What would be a "valid IP" in this case? Or, is there a simple secure stream solution ...

Re: Sudden CPU load increase

- Many, many, other settings. BI seems keeping the same CPU load at monitoring window open or minimized in my case with one cam. D2D is not an option for analog cam recording. The most unusual thing I noticed - low CPU load during the first couple of weeks, and much higher load after that with all ...

Re: Performance issues

What framerate are you recording/previewing at? Try detecting motion on substream, and triggering main stream D2D recording ONLY when motion is detected. Play with Trigger options to ensure near 100% motion detection, thus making continuous stream recording for a home system redundant. Also in Cam ...

Re: BlueIris Mobile App

I reverted back to 2.0.17. That version seems to occupy 200 MB+ in the phone card memory. In contrast, IP Webcam occupies 60 MB, and TinyCam Monitor 80 MB performing similar function. What is the new BI version footprint? Why does it need such a big size, problematic on older phones with other apps...

Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread

There already is a Notes filed in the cameras settings General tab. Would be nice to have such Note popup on the camera mouse hover in multicam view. As to sending email suggestions to Support, there is no guarantee they will be treated any different compare to this thread, since the forum seems mo...
