I'm sure adjusting the camera quality may work, but I always liked having the ability to zoom and still have good detail when needed. Or am I way off in my way of thinking? The only thing I can contribute is that I have it on good authority that 5.5.6.4 is extremely stable. Reverting isn't a problem if it goes south, but I've also read where it cleared up DS issues for others. But I get the hesitation... just letting you know.

Wait a minute... top third of that link I posted says: Below is an example of connecting a Hikvision NVR So connecting camera 2 from the Hikvision NVR would need the following settings: main stream = 201, sub stream = 202. Same IP address, username and password. Did you try using any of the settings...

Okay, I hear you. Here's the thought that came to mine... don't play whack-a-mole - do the math. Check this out IPVM Camera Calculator. Also, ALPR Plate Recognition only for Confirmed Vehicles.

For some reason, this forum isn't notifying me of replies. Yeah... it's a bummer for everyone. The camera status is reporting sub optimal key ratios. They should be 1.0 for every camera. Also, 8MP resolution is too high in my opinion. That's a lot of wasted data and I/O demand for most residential ...
