Re: Settings on camera
BlueIris will not override the camera settings... but it can function as a replacement to many of them. There are different ways to develop your full system... but the way I do is that I do all of the stream quality settings on the camera (has to be done here... BlueIris cannot dictate video quality...

Re: upgrading cpu
I thought I responded to this but maybe I hit a 'post collision' with IAmATeaf.
I upgraded my physical CPUs a while back and didn't run into any issues at all.

Re: Intel Quicksync on older system How to actually use it?
I'll be honest that I do not know some of the explicit ins and outs of some of those but the setting i believe you'll want to use is Intel +VPP. Re: NDAA ?
It definitely is and I think based on your description that BI is a great candidate for what you're talking about (plus you have experience). Without being an official responder to your initial question - short of being installed in a DoD environment - I would have no hesitation to saying this is an...

Re: Camera Gift
OK it came today... I'd like to report on the 'Petcube Cam' Meh..... don't get. It works fairly well as long as I'm on wifi (doesn't have to be the same SSID) but if you're remote, on a cellular network, etc... forget it. The camera tries to open a direct UDP stream and thats just going to have iffy...

Re: NDAA ?
That should probably be a question directed to support@blueirissoftware.com If I had to guess... eh sorta. Since Blue Iris is software only and developed within the US of A, I would think yes - Blue Iris is. It's up to you which hardware, and specifically the cameras, you use. Yes Blue Iris DOES sup...

Re: New PC Drives configuration
Those CPU have Intel UHD Graphics P750 which does support Intel Quick Sync Video. That would do it right? https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/212265/intel-xeon-w1370-processor-16m-cache-up-to-5-10-ghz.html Ha, yea I think you'll be just fine in the CPU department. My 11 year old CP...
