Re: Intermittent motion detection issues
This does remind me of something I have been trying to figure out though... Is there any way when using motion trigger masking to only pass through the unmasked portion of the image to the AI for filtering? For instance, if I'm trying to monitor when a person walks onto my property from the street, ...

Re: Intermittent motion detection issues
To anyone curious, I think i figured out what's going on. Somehow my trigger masking got reversed, so it sometimes worked when there was movement outside the intended masking area while people walked through the area I was trying to monitor. When there was no motion outside of the intended area, the...

Re: Intermittent motion detection issues
Here is a screenshot from the most recent example. I have highlighted two other cameras that pick up the motion, and the one camera that does not. However a few hours ago I have an example of this working as intended. Something is stopping the front door camera from running motion detection randomly...

Intermittent motion detection issues
I have had an AI person alert up and running on my front door camera for probably two years now. It has always been very reliable, and is used to trigger an audio notification via Hubitat. I am only recently noticing, probably the past few weeks, that many alerts are being missed. No motion trigger ...

Intermittent motion detection issues
I've had these settings running for at least 2 years. When a person walks up my front walkway, the motion in blue iris triggers the built-in Code Project AI to determine if it is a person and if it is, sends a notification to my Hubitat hub to play a chime in the house. This has worked surprisingly ...

Data management
I woke up to a concerning situation today, hopefully it's an issue with my understanding of how BI handles data and a tweak of my settings can prevent from happening again. I have two 12tb mechanical disks, one internal (D), and the other in an external drivebay enclosure (E). Disk D is my NEW folde...

PTZ Inconsistencies
I have 11 Amcrest IP cameras running with BI5, a few of them inside PTZ models. When I set up BI5 I did so on my primary PC, an i7 6900. CPU usage was never an issue but I still thought it would be better to get a designated machine for BI's purpose. Now that I got my dedicated BI PC running I'm hav...

Encountered an Improper Object
I'm getting a red X and "Encountered an Improper Argument" dialog box when double-clicking a camera window in playback mode, I click OK and it goes away. Last week I posted about missing footage and when selecting a clip (say, a night time clip) then a daytime clip opening. No one ever com...

Missing Footage?
I find it hard to believe but I think I'm missing footage. I have a 11 IP cameras and have been running BI5 for about a week now. Last night something minor occurred on my property and the wife reminded me we have that fancy new security system I kept bragging about. The only camera that would have ...

Re: Extreme frame drop after some seconds runtime
I figured out what was going on. "limit decoding unless required" was checked on the video page. Now it seems obvious what was happening.
