Re: Getting Lag on HD Stream but not SD view
Before recommending hardware upgrades, can you show us the Blue Iris Status > Cameras tab? This is a good summary of all camera configs and what your CPU is dealing with and if there is any H/W acceleration going on. It definitely sounds like it's bogging down when viewing the HD feed. My hope is th...

Re: Clips and archiving settings
Thanks guy, the limit size got it. Cool! Though I have to say I thought I looked but apparently missed exactly what IAmATeaf said. I thought your 'Stored' was moving to a new device/drive but they are both on D:. There really is no benefit at all with doing this move and it technically results in a...

Re: Clips and archiving settings
Yep thats exactly whats going on. You should be able to guesstimate about how much space 7 days worth will consume (I'd guess based on what you said, about 140GB) and adjust accordingly. Depending on your arrangement you might be better off determining how much space you can allocate (200GB, 500GB, ...

Re: Computer for BI 5 with DS Integration
I'd just shop around on ebay for the best system you can get with no drives. They often try and do a markup for adding a DVD drive, monitors, or the OS... none of which you need, so it might be doable. I'd definitely look for the newest i7 you can for 12 cameras.

Re: New banner in Camera status?
I'm with you, I have no idea but have it too. I assume it is something with camera groups maybe? With the layout changes I think "groups" have gotten some attention recently... though I'm not using any. I'm wondering if this is some sort of default view if you're not using groups. It's a l...

Re: So really, what's the sense of using BI
I don't mean to be a wise buy. Does Blue Iris have a solution for stand alone autonomous camera management? The cameras have a build in DVR and just about everything else. I don't want to have to have a computer setup to manage the cameras. I really just need software that lets me connect to the ca...

Re: Please help troubleshoot configuration
Its ok, they'll do. Ultimately I think we really do need to get your Substreams working. I think the slow creep is basically your CPU holding it's own and slowly falling behind over time until its maxed out. Sometimes the BI 'Find/Inspect' will populate it, sometimes it won't. I can see on your stat...

Re: Do I Need a New Licence To Access A Remote Install?
I think this topic should be closed. The question has been asked and answered. Its the way it is, this is an official but community run forum. We have opinions and experience but do not speak for the company. We've voiced options we're aware of and what we're doing in similar solutions. I have a hea...

Re: Please help troubleshoot configuration
Are you able to show us the Blue Iris Status > Cameras tab? You can get to it by clicking this button - then the 'Cameras' tab. This should yield a good summary of all of your configuration in terms of the load being applied. Capture.JPG I'm not sure why it's starting low and acceptable and then in ...

Re: Win10 vs Win Server
I have no complaints. I know there are definitely guides and other opinions out there that say otherwise. Intel acceleration works just fine for me. It might be harder to get Nvidia GPU decoding to work with VMWare but I've read mixed things about GPU decoding anyway - Intel seems the way to go. If ...
