Re: Annke C800 question
I would be interested in your reasoning: 1. Why should you be using the proprietary .BVI file format? Considering that h.265 is a defined standard and .mp4 is also a defined standard does that not lend itself to more options. Like you are not tied to the full limitations of Blue Iris for quick viewi...

Annke C800 question
I just picked up an ANNKE C800 camera. it seems weird but I think it is working but not as I expected. If I set the unit to work with MPEG encoding H.264 I get very bad artifacts on the screen and it doesn't work correctly. But when I set it to use H.265 it works fine. The screen doesn't get updated...

Re: System Build
From what I have figured out so far, it is more how you configure your cameras than the speed of the processor and having an accelerated graphics card. I read that just by having the camera's write direct to disk without post processing, you can shave a good 10% per camera off the CPU. As well, if y...

Re: is Blue Iris a background service demon?
Thank you. I however was wondering if there is a preferred build for Windows10? When I first got the PC I had the referb dealer install a copy of Windows10 Pro. it gave me an official license with the sticker for $30. figured it was one less thing that I needed to complete. However they installed 21...

Re: Sub Streams and continuous recording
It looks interesting, but I wonder, this setting, how does it know the different states between recording continuous in the low-res and then triggered to record in high-res?

Question of users of Reolink RCL cameras ??
I got two ReoLink cameras. One RCL510a and one RCL520a cameras. I don't know if I have ever gotten them to work properly. I have them hooked up to a Netgear GS108PE switch feeding to my main network. I have never gotten them to work at the full spec 30fps@6144 kbps encoding. with the two cameras run...

How is everyone implementing Deepscan for BI 5.4.x
I don't have a major server to run Blue Iris but want to get this setup correctly so I can walk away and just use it, rather than constantly having to come back and tinker. I have an intel i5-6600 right now with 8gb ram, I have physically 2 camera's with a 3rd on its way. It is currently setup to ru...

Re: Internal Hard Drive
Not wanting to hijack a thread, but i have a similar question with hard drives. I went out and bought a Lonovo M900 with the intel i5-6600 processor. it came with a non descript 2.5" hard drive inside. Now I don't know how good the hard drive is, or how old it is. I was planning on trying out t...

Re: is Blue Iris a background service demon?
Great. I have ordered a referb SFF PC to run Win10pro on. it's an i5-6600 with 8gb ram. I hope that this will be a fast enough machine to run my configuration. Right now the test NUC with the Celeron N3060 doesn't cut it. It does work enough for a single camera as a proof of concept. Thanks for all ...

is Blue Iris a background service demon?
I am looking to install Blue Iris as a surveillance server for 3-4 cameras. I don't know an awful lot about the software and had a nagging thought last night that I figured I'd better get answered first. As this runs on windows. Windows 10 is a service and as such can do some fun things like decide ...
