Re: Massive Memory Usage
Rantech I changed 1 camera to Pre-Trigger record time = 6.0 sec Pre-trigger playback time = 3.0 sec And I can verify that my memory usage has started to climb already, I am going to wait a bit and see how high it goes with just the change to the 1 camera, I did not note the memory usage at the start...

Re: Massive Memory Usage
Rantech I checked my times and they are as follows Pre-Trigger record time = 5.0 sec Pre-trigger playback time = 2.0 sec These are the times that the system must have defaulted to as I have recently upgraded to 5.9.2.2, and the prior version 5.8.7.11 did not have these settings I will try some diffe...

Re: Massive Memory Usage
velthui You mentioned changing the short name for the cameras, I hope that you realize that doing that can orphan all of the files that were recorded using the original short name, If you want to change the short name there is a whole lot of files that will have to be renamed once you are done, or y...

Re: Massive Memory Usage
Do you have hardware acceleration turned on for any of your cameras, I had it turned (Nvidia) for two of my cameras, when I turned it off my memory usage dropped down, I am still not seeing any huge usage of memory on my system; at the moment it is sitting around 550MB after turning off all camera h...

Re: Massive Memory Usage
The memory creep that I thought I was seeing is no longer progressing, my memory usage has actually dropped back to 913MB again!

Re: Massive Memory Usage
My system is running CPAI 2.6.5 on BI 5.9.2.2 and is running "ipcam-combined" on three of my 4 cameras, Memory has now crept up to 938MB, as it does appear to be creeping up very slowly, I have 32GB of RAM on this system, so if it does continue the slow creep, it might take some time befor...

Re: Massive Memory Usage
I am running 5.9.2.2 and I am not seeing any memory issue, I have tried making random changes in the camera setting and my RAM usage is remaining stable, it goes up a bit then comes back down. With no activity on four cameras it is sitting between 900MB and 910MB, if there is something more specific...

Re: Upgrade CPU and Motherboard ONLY
You should also check to see if the hard drive is set to boot via BIOS or UEFI, open the "System Information" on your existing computer and look for the BIOS MODE hopefully it says UEFI otherwise you may not be able to do the windows 11 to upgrade even with the new hardware installed Have ...

Re: Camera disconnecting by itself
Does the camera reconnect if you run the discovery again, have you checked to see if the camera IP has changed, can you view the video directly from the camera, to check if the camera itself is still functioning?

Re: Camera Zooming in and out
Did this start after a recent update?
Have you tried going back to a prior version?
Does the camera itself have a zoom function, if so could it be malfunctioning?
