Re: AI Expectations?
Well I definitely have something set incorrectly. Initially when I first activated AI it was detecting people and even small animals (dropped from 3000 alerts on wiggly bushes to just 10 of people, cars, etc.). Now the system has not detected anything in the last 36 hours (including me standing talk...

Re: AI Expectations?
So right now I'm using the built in "free" verion of Deepstack/Codeproject. What are the advantages of up grading to the paid versions of AI. Anyone know a good tutorial for optimizing AI? So far I've gone from 3000 alerts in a day to less than ten last night (also discovered masking so no...

AI Expectations?
Just curious what are the advantages of AI and what are the expectations? I'm having trouble with a couple of cameras picking up bush movements and and it catches part of main road but not effective to remove it from view. Can AI reliably be used to trigger alarms and recordings? Will it cause and i...

Re: Zerotier
Thanks
Still not sure what I'm missing; Zerotier says it's connected but I'm not getting any data into the BI app. Inside my home network it works fine with our without Zt. Even went through my phone to make sure Orbot, Lookout, and any other VPN are disabled but still not luck.

@mpoczynek
Good video, it's quite helpful but sound goes away at 12 minutes right when he is telling where to find the WAN address in Zerotier to put in the Blue Iris app. Do you recall which is the WAN address in Zerotier?

Zerotier
I've seen a few comments about using Zerotier VPN to access BI outside of home network; can anyone answer some questions? My phone says connected to server but something is blocking BI information. Neither the phone BI web nor App can find the BI server. This is outside my home network using cellula...

Re: Network traffic causes screen to flash off intermittently
For the now, I turned McAfee off. Been messing around with dual and sub-streams but that this is clear as mud. In the meantime my cameras stopped triggering. Last night I got an hour of leaves blowing and cars driving by but it would not pick me up walking through the yard. Even a couple of cameras ...

Re: Network traffic causes screen to flash off intermittently
Security, organization? Just noticed CPU usage is maxing out at 100%, with BI using over half (60%+) the resources. I thought this I7 8700 3.5 would be plenty. I just unplugged the last two cameras I added, and BI usage dropped 200% down to 20% CPU. Hopefully I have something set wrong. It was not s...

Re: Network traffic causes screen to flash off intermittently
In an attempt to isolate cameras on their own network independent from home network. The USB NIC is connected to a POE switch serving only cameras,

Network traffic causes screen to flash off intermittently
Not sure if a symptom or part of the problem but I have a USB NIC for my camera switch (mainNIC for internet). As the traffic increases my computer screen flashes off. More cameras I add the more it flashes off. I think something else is causing it though, even with the USB NIC unplugged it still is...
