I can connect to the Blue Iris server on my internal network using IP address:port.
I am having trouble getting my WAN port to connect externally. When I use canyouseeme.org to test my connection, it fails with all the ports defined.
What I have tried so far:
1) In my router, I have setup port forwarding using different ports (80, 8081...etc).
2) Configured my PC firewall (McAfee) to open up the designated ports
3) Verified the WAN IP address through my router.
4) Verified my ISP (Spectrum) does not block the ports I have tried
Through all the google searches and video I have watched and read, it seems it should be pretty straight forward so I am not sure what else I can do.
If any one has any ideas, I would appreciate so feedback
Carl
Need Help....cannot get remote access to work
Re: Need Help....cannot get remote access to work
I would try fully disabling the Win Firewall as a test.
I always have trouble and have to tinker with Firewall to make it work right. I think you need to add both the App and the Port to firewall.

Re: Need Help....cannot get remote access to work
I did disable the McAfee firewall but when I disabled that, it reenabled windows firewall which I did not realize.
I was able to fix it though. In the McAfee firewall, I had it set to "PCs in Work and Home networks only" and should have been set to "All PCs".
I also only set the TCP port and not the UDP. Not sure if BI needs UDP.
Thanks
Carl

Re: Need Help....cannot get remote access to work
I did disable the McAfee firewall but did not realize it would turn the Window firewall back on.
I did get it working but needed to change the firewall setting to affect "all PCs" instead of the default " Work and home PCs"
Also did Blue Iris to listed programs using the internet
Thank You
Carl
