Does anyone have a recommendation for a new user?
I have a single IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS that I would like to use on the corner of my porch to cover entry up the driveway.
I believe I'd like at least a 16 port switch. What features I should be looking for.? I thought maybe a router with POE would be a good idea to simplify things, but I see they are not readily available and quite expensive. I would like to have the power and speed capabilities of the POE switch to not have issues over longer runs if I choose to do so at a later time, or if I choose to add multiple PTV cameras.
Would something like this do everything I need? https://www.amazon.com/BV-Tech-Switch-G ... 2K4YS&th=1

Re: Which POE switch and/or NVR?
That's the exact same switch I bought, and I'd definitely recommend it. Lots of ports and no fan to die or wear out. I have mine tucked away in a downstairs closet just to keep it out of the way. I think it's a good switch for the money and it's a few dollars less now than it was when I got mine. I'd say go for it.

Well, as far as NVR goes, you do know that you are on a site dedicated to BI right?
