I didn't have trouble before.
Now when I try to export a recording I get "Error: setup 80004005". I can view w/o problems the whole recording in BI5.
Recordings set to BVR, direct-to-disk.
I always save without reencoding in the MP4 container. Tried also WMF. Same error.
Cameras stream H264 with AAC.
BI5 version 5.8.9.0 64bit

Started rolling back the versions. This error starts from v 5.8.8.10.
In version 5.8.8.8 export recording was working OK.

Googling "Error: setup 80004005" shows it could be a file access error or even an anti virus blocking error. Have you tried saving the export to a different drive ?

Yes I did try a different drive where to save. There is plenty of drive space available. The BVR recording is very small, just 17.4MB.

This is a bug introduced in version 5.8.8.10 and is still present in v 5.8.9.0.
So up until v 5.8.8.8 exporting a recording works w/o problems, but starting from v 5.8.8.10 I can't export a recording because I get "Error: setup 80004005".

I was able to export normally with 5.8.9.0... set export start and stop points, then export as MP4, default preset...

Thank you for the suggestion. I did also try setting the export start and end recording frames. Was always getting the error.
For you and others might not have even been an issue as it seems to be correlated to the video stream generated by the cams.
Anyway support has managed to replicate the issue.
Version 5.8.9.1 resolves this issue. I can now export w/o problems my recordings.
