Remote Admin

Post by 920codyroad »

Is there any way to remotely admin the BI software from another computer, without having to purchase another license? If this is a feature of BI, another license shouldn't be required. But, that's my opinion.

You do have the official two license method, but I use Splashtop (Like Teamviewer) for remote tasks on my servers from my comfy chair 8-)

Or built in windows remote desktop. The bottom line is you need keyboard/monitor access to the machine running BI.

I've been using Remote Desktop as well as RealVNC, but I lost access to both due to a firewall change by my McAfee Antivirus software after it was updated. The computer is 1600 miles away.
I downloaded BI to my computer at home and have a couple of days left on the trial, just so I can connect to my BI in the other location. That works great, but I can't see having to buy another license just to remotely manage the one instance I use.

I've been using the following...

I've been using...
- Google Remote Desktop.
- AnyDesk. This has WOL.

I used to use TeamViewer & RealVNC. I shoud install RealVNC again.
