Re: BI 5.0.2.5 Crashes...
Well, having checked the radar error on the MS site, they appear to be stating it may be something to do with hardware, software, or something inbetween
I hope you keep good back ups, as testing everything may well break something. MS starts with running SFC/DISM for the Radar error.
I had a mind bending Win10 laptop pc failure as a pc fix up for a colleague. Various weird hard drive errors, and it would then wouldn't boot up, then it would BSOD with different failure modes each time, and the event logs gave me nothing. He had contacted MS, and they told him to buy a new copy of Win10 (Why?), and pointed him towards getting the hard drive replaced. Once I got it, I imaged the hard drive with Acronis, and started going through it logically. Nothing made sense, so I fitted a spare SSD and a fresh Win10 installation. It worked for a while, then went the same way, just as I thought I'd sorted it. I swapped over the memory chips, and it did the same, then tried one only. Stability. Then I swapped in just the faulty one. Stability. Whaaaat ? So I popped them both back in. BIOS RAM error beeping. At that stage I wasn't sure whether to put it under a steam hammer or purchase some cheap RAM. I went for the RAM, and no BIOS errors. On a hunch, I restored the hard drive with the original Acronis image, and it booted straight up. Cheesus ! TWO failed RAM sticks out of two.
