Seeking Advice: Configuring Blue Iris to Detect Smoke Alarm Sounds

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to setup an audio event in Blue Iris that would trigger when say a smoke detector goes off? I've read through the manual and noticed there's a mention of audio triggers and states the following on page 66:
"Here a signal generator was used to provide a proper frequency over the required 2.0 seconds in order to trigger. You may use this to recognize your doorbell, phone ringer, fire or other home alarms"
So I'm assuming it can be done but I'm not entirely sure how to implement this specific use case.
Has anyone successfully set up Blue Iris to detect and alert based on a smoke alarm sound? If so, could you share your approach or any tips?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
