New Error? "Encountered unexpected file Blue Iris 5.lnk; stopping"

Post by Thixotropic »

I've recently started seeing this error shown below:

Code: Select all

2/2/2024 8:44:29.567 PM	Log Encountered unexpected file Blue Iris 5.lnk; stopping
As far as I can tell it isn't causing any actual issue that I can see. BI keeps running and triggering etc etc.

1) Is this a known error?

2) Is there documentation on this?

3) Is there a fix?

No idea but it would be worth checking in your BI clips folders to see if that shortcut file is there?

I don't see any .lnk files in any of the clip directories but there are some in some of the other BI dirs. Nothing has changed in ages apart from BI updates, no system changes at all.

The log doesn't specify which .lnk file it's objecting to so I'll play around and see if I can find the one it doesn't like.

I've just searched the complete Feb 2024 Log file for "Blue Iris 5.lnk" and it's not there at all on my installation. I think this is one for Ken. The release notes for updates suggest a few things are being worked on at the moment.
