Supported Doorbell Cameras
Supported Doorbell Cameras
Thought I saw a list on the old forums. Anyone have that list by chance? I am really hating my Ring Pro.
Re: Supported Doorbell Cameras
I am looking for a list and/or recommendations myself. The HikVision appears to be ONVIF compatible. Amazon reviews are mixed, but in fairness nearly all their IP camera reviews are in the tank, so a grain of salt may go with the territory.

I think it was the Doorbird camera that was mentioned here before the big forum crash. A bit large for most houses

Please share your setup/method. Thanks
Re: Supported Doorbell Cameras
Yes, tell us moreI am using the Nest Door Camera on Blue Iris and it works great
After one of my neighbours had his Ring doorbell ripped from his wall, I am beginning to think that a standard doorbell and a small camera may be a less expensive, and less stolen method. Clearly the thieves go around looking for the standard £200+ devices, and take them.
I did have a look at door spyhole cameras, but most of them are toys. The one that I liked was a cheap £20 analogue spyhole camera - I can connect that directly to BI via the Piccolo Pro card, and I think the lower resolution wouldn't be a problem for identifying people standing at the door (Since the other cameras in BI already cover the other angles). Add to that that there is no visible "as seen on TV" camera or expensive doorbell to steal, and it keeps getting better and better. Hmmm

Re: Supported Doorbell Cameras
I just spotted an article comparing the Nest and Ring doorbells, and it claimed that burglars would be scared away by the presence of this visible deterrent. Oh dear. I already have evidence that this thinking is flawed

HOLY COW!! HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS ONE! I think it just came out! So tired of searching and only finding junk. It's just so discouraging.
This says it has WiFi AND POE! I think I just drooled on my keyboard.
Oh, and it cost $63.00 bucks. Sounds almost too good to be true, it's like somebody's been reading these forums and decided to make a doorbell we want.
So I just bought 2 different models. The $63 and the $66 dollar versions. [see links] And also a USB remote chime.
Gonna test them out and see how well they integrate into BlueIris. I'll let you guys know!

Re: Supported Doorbell Cameras
Seems like they only sell them in qty of 100 or more.
So let me know if you just paid $6300 for a lot of them and I will take 1 off your hands.
