cars, people etc.. vanish and reappear in clips

Post by fdc »

Blue Iris v5.5.3.3
All motion detection / alerts turned off, cameras record always.
Amcrest 8Mp PoE Cameras

See this happening a lot with people and cars

So I'm watching a clip, in the blueiris management console on the pc it is installed on and the clips are saved on, and this happens. A truck pulls into the parking lot (top part of screen if it matters) and at the bottom part of the screen a cat is running across the parking lot. The truck suddenly vanishes while the cat running across the screen never misses a frame. Then a few seconds later the Truck reappears.

There isn't a missing spot in the recording where the truck was it just looks like the truck vanishes. Sometimes will be someone walking across the parking lot and they just vanish and reappear at their car or somewhere else a few seconds later.

What happens to the time overlay on the recording does it jump?

It sounds like the re-trigger is upsetting something but can’t see why if the truck was there with the cat why the truck would disappear.

On the cams have you set the fps and the iframe rate to be the same or 1 as having too high an iframe cam cause events to jump.

I was thinking along the same lines - is it advancing to the next clip?

So this appears to be a playback issue when playing clips back in the BI console or from the web interface because when I exported the video to MP4 to post here, the truck doesn't vanish .

I recorded it with my phone playing on the BI console https://youtu.be/-ub-z5AsK2w

It's nice that the info is there and we can see if if we export the video but kind of annoying having to do that.

If it matters Recording is set up to Continuous : Blue Iris DVR : Direct-to-Disk

Does it do that glitch when playing back just the alert? What happens if you go to clips and find that particular event, does it playback fine then?

What is the fps and iframe set to, in the cam status page in BI it should hover at around 1 else it might cause issues but I’ll be honest I’ve never seen anything like the clip you’ve posted. It’s almost like 2 videos from differing times being overlayed.

Agreed. I am viewing on a 120" projector screen. At the start of the video, I can see a dark car begin to emerge from behind the yellow shop front at the top right of the image, and it disappears and re-appears at the same time as the truck.
