Failed to connect

I've had BI for several months now and don't understand why one of the five cameras is having issues. I have 5 D-Link cameras. Four of them are model DCS-5222LB1 and one is DCS-5029L. All 5 are legacy cameras and no longer receive software or firmware updates. All 5 worked when they were initially setup in BI. For some reason, one of the identical 5222LB's will not connect. I've done setup and delete several times with the same result. I've even tried letting BI find and configure the camera, but it still results in the Failed to connect error message. No other message of code number is displayed. All five cameras work in the My-Dlink Lite software app without any issues. I have also tried hard resetting the camera but BI still won't connect. I have verified the camera's static IP address in my router which matches the address in the D-Link settings and in BI. On the camera Settings page, I see Signal Loss in red along with a yellow triangle symbol. What else could be the issue?

Can you try cloning one of the identical working cameras and then changing the IP, username and password to see if that helps ?

Hi TimG,
Well, what the hell, why did the cloning work when nothing else that I tried didn't? I hope the answer is not it's magic :o

Well I'm not Harry Potter, so no magic. We have seen this before and it could be a missed setting or a corrupted setting. The good news is it rules out a lot of things even if it doesn't work 8-)

I had a similar issue. Two cameras would not connect after a restart. Turned out I turned on the speaker icon on the main overview. The two cameras in question could not handle the audio request. As soon as I turned it off they both came back without a restart.
