Hello friends! I am writing with the help of translation, I hope you will understand me! I have the same problem... We have a lot of old cameras (EasyN, KaiKang). We used BlueIris v3 half a year ago, all cameras worked well. A month ago problems started, the cameras turn off on their own and either rebooting the cameras or rebooting the switch helps. This happens 3-4 times a day. We bought BlueIris v5, after which all connected cameras turn off after 5 minutes after detection. After rebooting the cameras, or rebooting the switch, the cameras also turn off after 5 minutes. Help me with a solution please

I'll add a note. There are also new cameras purchased over the past six months. They are not disabled in both versions

Sounds like an issue with the either the cams or the cabling so you need to test both to establish what the problem is.

First thing is to check the cables and the termination for any signs of corrosion, also check the actual network connector in the cam itself. Personally I’d just cut off the old plug and reterminate to see if that helps.

Next would be to pull the cam down and then run it from a known good cable to see if it behaves any differently.

Using the above and a combination you should be able to work out what the issue is and hopefully fix

Before you start cutting off connectors; have you checked if the cameras settings in BI has audio enabled, if so then disable it if the cameras are not able to send audio.

Good point. Audio watchdog could explain the new behaviour if audio is enabled in BI5 for a camera with no audio. Then you can fix the remaining cameras.

What an absurd caveat that just continues to lurk there for unsuspecting users -- with no rhyme or reason whatsoever.

Why?
