Re: Config/resource goof.
"There may not be much load on the GPU. You select 'Intel' as the hardware acceleration preference in the Cameras tab of the main BI settings window. Then select 'default' for 'Hardware decode' in each camera's video configuration. You can alternatively leave the blanket default entry in the ma...

Re: Config/resource goof.

Re: Config/resource goof.
Got the AC going plus a few other things that came up, now diving back into the cameras (also have to tidy up some cabling I installed ad hoc to get system running...) I went all through all the BIOS settings I could find relating to video (actually went though all the bios settings I could find for...

Re: Config/resource goof.
Well, I did go through and fix a lot of the issue by changing substreams, picture quality, and a few other things listed in a tutorial I ran across a while back. It helped a lot freeing up CPU time but screen still blanks out enough to be an irritation; there's still probably some more tewwks I can ...

Config/resource goof.

The i7 8700 (w/ 500 gig C drive and a second 2 terabyte D drive), does not have a separate graphics card so when CPU becomes stressed, the screen goes blank for a few seconds (at least that's my cu...

BI 5.8.6.7 x64 2/13/24
CP 2.0.8 Beta
So in getting this information earlier in the weekend, I discovered some settings that I thought I had set but were were wrong. It seems to be doing much better now.
I'm still open to ideas though.
Thanks

People and car trouble...
I'm still having difficulty with excess motion triggering record. I thought I had the AI enabled and it seems to be working some since the recordings with people and cars display an icon. The sound triggered recordings also show an icon. I would like to record just people, cars, and animals (pets, e...

Home autoation
Recall reading some threads about Home Automation software compatible with Blue Iris but not having a lot of luck finding them. Does anyone recall the name of the software?
