I was thinking about the same - and teh reason was to save CPU on BI machine - why make it do the job that has already been done (by the camera) ?

Time discrepancy with vieweing
Hello, I'm experiencing an issue and hoping for some assistance. My camera operates non-stop, 24/7, with motion detection and AI that tags only human or vehicle movements. Given that AI isn't infallible, I regularly review the "Cancelled Alerts" to ensure no critical events are overlooked....

Sound disabled on tablet WEB UI by default
Hello, I have rather interesting problem I could not find a solution for. I have an iPad that I use to watch my baby (but the same problem doest exist on my Goodle Nest Hub display so I don't think it is tablet-specific) When I open up the web interface, more often than not it comes up with no sound...

Re: @ALERT_PATH has old data
So - no ideas? Anyone, please? Here is what I got today: Screenshot_20230909-152108.jpg Three separate alerts. Each alert has a picture from the previous alert so like @ALERT_PATH was updated either after the alert was sent or with some delay. It was NOT a delay in deliverying the notification - tim...

Re: Detect when a person is there right now - how?
Thanks TimG. But how do you handle situation when someone leaves that space? Or you are interested in only when someone comes there? Right now I can use stand-alone script to capture images either from BI or from the camera directly, cut some part of it with imagemagic, send to my CodeProject.AI ins...

Detect when a person is there right now - how?
Hi guys, I want to be able to detect if a person is standing behind or near my entry door and fire an (MQTT) event whey they are. So basically as soon a person apperas in a particular area - BI sends out MQTT notification to my Home Assistant server and sends another one when the person is no longer...

@ALERT_PATH has old data
Hi guys, wondering if someone else came across this strange problem. I setup a script to send me an alarm and the picture that triggered the alarm via pushover (following published manual here). Occasionally I hit this problem - when the camera sees something it send a notification with the correct ...

Re: Email alert has images from multiple cameras
Thanks MikeBwca but no, I don't have those you mentioned. However I noticed that that happens when more than one camera is seeing the motion. I have two cameras looking at my frontyard (from two different points) so when the motion happens - more often than not it is detected by two cameras simultan...

Email alert has images from multiple cameras
Hello, I have been using BI5 for a while and this problem has been happenning periodically but today it got worse so I think I may ask here... I setup an email alert for all my cameras when motion is detected. Today I got that email from camera "X" (as stated in the email body) but instead...
